Zahlenwerk vs Valued

Valued is self-serve portfolio software for private investors and family offices, covering funds, start-ups, real estate and securities, with a free plan. Zahlenwerk is a workspace for a family office's fund investments, the documents behind them, and the books per legal entity.

Choose Zahlenwerk if

  • You run a family office with several legal entities and need their books, not only a portfolio view
  • You want every figure to link to the page of the statement it was read from
  • A team of more than ten people works on the portfolio with different access
  • You want Claude and ChatGPT to work on the portfolio under each person's own permissions

Choose Valued if

  • You are a private investor or business angel and want to start today, for free, without talking to anyone
  • Securities depots, rental property and start-up cap tables matter to you as much as fund commitments
  • You want bank and depot connections through finAPI
  • Your budget is under €500 a month and your tax adviser keeps the books in DATEV

Where Valued is the better choice

Valued is cheaper, has a free plan without a time limit, and you can sign up today without a waitlist. It covers more asset classes than we do: securities depots with dividends and a tax year per depot, rental property with loans and yields, and start-up cap tables by round.

Like us, it reads documents with AI and books nothing until a person approves it, and it hosts in the EU. For a private investor or an angel with a mixed portfolio, it is a strong choice.

Questions

Valued has a free plan. Why pay for Zahlenwerk?

If you track your own portfolio, start with Valued's free plan. Zahlenwerk costs more because it does different work: a full set of books per legal entity next to the positions, every figure linked to the page it came from, and roles for a larger team. If you do not need those, Valued is the better buy.

Both read fund statements with AI. What is the difference?

Both turn a statement into a proposal that a person approves. Zahlenwerk links each figure to the page of the document it was read from, holds fields below a confidence bar for review, and books the result into the ledger of the entity that holds the position.

Can I use both?

Yes. Some families keep depots and property in one tool and the office's fund investments and books in another. You can export everything from Zahlenwerk, so nothing is locked in.

Test it on one quarter of statements

Forward one quarter's statements and compare what comes out with the workbook you already trust. That is how the firms in the beta started, and it is a better test than any comparison page.
