Zahlenwerk vs QPLIX

QPLIX is the established wealth platform of the German-speaking market, founded in Munich in 2012 and used by family offices, banks and wealth managers. Zahlenwerk is for smaller offices that want to start this quarter, without an implementation project.

Choose Zahlenwerk if

  • You are a small single family office and want to start this quarter, without a proposal and an implementation project
  • You want to see the price before the first call
  • Statements and notices from many administrators should become records automatically today, with a review step for anything uncertain
  • Your holdings are mostly fund commitments, SPVs and direct stakes

Choose QPLIX if

  • You run a larger family office, a multi family office or a bank, with many asset classes including large listed portfolios
  • Your end clients need a portal and an app of their own
  • Your compliance team requires certifications such as ISAE 3402 and ISO 27001 data centres
  • You want an established vendor with more than 170 people, offices in Munich, Frankfurt and Zurich, and trading automation and rebalancing

Where QPLIX is the better choice

QPLIX is the more complete platform for a larger office: more than 25 asset classes, end-client portal and app, trading automation and rebalancing, and an accounting journal that books every transaction. More than €300bn of assets are managed on it, and it has the certifications a bank's compliance team asks for.

It also has what a two-person beta cannot offer: a long track record, a team of more than 170 people and offices in three cities. If your office needs that breadth and that kind of vendor, QPLIX is the better choice.

Questions

Is Zahlenwerk a cheaper QPLIX?

No. QPLIX is a full wealth platform for family offices, banks and wealth managers. Zahlenwerk is narrower: fund commitments, SPVs and direct holdings, the documents behind them and the books per entity, for a small office that wants to start without a project. If you need QPLIX's breadth, QPLIX is the better choice.

Do both read fund statements automatically?

QPLIX says automatic processing of document information is in development. In Zahlenwerk it is the core of the product today: capital account statements and notices become records, each value carries its own confidence, and anything below the bar waits for a person.

Do both include bookkeeping?

Yes, in different shapes. QPLIX has an integrated accounting journal that books every transaction and exports to other systems. Zahlenwerk keeps a set of books per legal entity and hands the Steuerberater a package of reports and every document behind them.

Can I connect Claude or ChatGPT to either?

Both offer an MCP server that respects each user's permissions. In Zahlenwerk, Claude and ChatGPT connect over OAuth, and in the in-app assistant every write waits for your approval.

Test it on one quarter of statements

Forward one quarter's statements and compare what comes out with the workbook you already trust. That is how the firms in the beta started, and it is a better test than any comparison page.
