When Airbus wound down its Beluga transport team, Laura built the tooling that re-allocated a 10,000-person organisation. A dashboard driven by heavy matching scripts placed each person into a new department based on their qualifications, turning a logistical crisis into a structured, auditable process.
Overview
Airbus was winding down its Beluga transport division. Roughly 10,000 people needed to be re-allocated to other departments, quickly and fairly, without losing critical skills. Spreadsheets could not carry the weight or the accountability.
The challenge
Match thousands of employees to open roles across the group based on qualifications, seniority, and location, while keeping every decision transparent and defensible to works councils and management alike.
What we built
Laura designed a dashboard on top of heavy matching scripts that scored each person against every eligible role. Managers could review, filter, and adjust allocations, with every change captured in an audit trail. The messy, high-pressure exercise became a structured, repeatable workflow.
The result
A logistical crisis run as a clean, auditable process, giving leadership confidence in every placement and giving employees a fair, explainable outcome.
